About Bocas Sailing

Originally founded in 2001, Bocas Sailing is the original commercial sailing operator in Bocas Del Toro. With over 40 years experience, the owners and operators here at Bocas Sailing offer you a fun and safe way to explore the archipelago of Bocas Del Toro in style. Give up the noisy motors and let us show you the Caribbean the way it was meant to be seen.

OUr Crew

Tyler, Josh and Chad have been in and out of Bocas since 2006. We run a few small businesses here in town and generally try to do things we enjoy for a living. We've got two great big boat dogs who help us out most of the time along with Angel and Fabian, some local kids we're teaching how to sail. Come ready to relax, we try not to take it too seriously.

 About The boat

Movida is a 1987, 11 meter Fontaine Pajot Louisianne. She's journeyed from France to Spain, through the Canary Islands, across the Atlantic and through the Caribbean, landing in the archipelago in 1999, making her the longest resident Frenchman in Bocas del Toro. With sleek lines and sexy hips, she's a good horse, tried and true, with plenty of room for about twenty people to lounge about or dance about.

My family had an awesome day on the sea with captain Tyler. We wanted to see dolphins and snorkle (didn’t want to stay on a beach half the day on a boattrip). We saw dolphins and went to some great snorkling spots - especially the mangrove spot! And we spent the hole day at sea and did most of the trip just sailing (no motor). While most of the other tour organizers seems to rush and race down the dolphins we had a perfect laid back day at the sea. Awesome experience and highly recommendable!

I went on several snorkeling tours and none come close to Bocas Sailing. The 2 reefs we went to were unbelievable. This is not a party boat (unless all your friends are on board), it’s a kick back mellow ride to great snorkeling.

We had a great time sailing with Tyler.. We made a couple of stops, a coral reef for a bit of snorkeling (or, as I like to call it, drinking salt water) and Starfish Beach. At lunch time we had Tyler’s world famous sandwiches. They were better than the hype!
This journey has seriously caused me to rethink my life choices.. I think I need to quit software development and become a sailboat captain.
Thanks Tyler for a great day!

This was an incredible experience! The reefs in the mangroves are unique, colorful, and beautiful. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and very helpful.

. I highly recommend this experience for anyone looking for a relaxing adventure that’s unique to Bocas!
